Building a fragrance brand
At iere the aromatic collective, our mission is to craft multisensory experiences that celebrate Caribbean heritage, honour the stories of our first peoples, and carry the warmth of island culture to the world through fragrance.
In founding this collective, I set out to create a home for creators who value cultural authenticity, sensory craftsmanship, sustainability, connection, respect, warmth, and celebration.
To achieve this, we utilise fragrances to craft experiences rooted in place, story, and tradition. Each iere product is a tangible, emotional object, offering a multisensory experience that honours the land and communities that inspire us. 
Bringing the spirit of the islands into everyday spaces.
Being the designer that I am, I couldn’t help myself; back in 2021, before iere even officially existed, I designed a logo. From that early spark to our official launch in 2024, the iere wordmark has evolved alongside the brand itself.
2021: Original Wordmark 
The first logo captured the warmth and intimacy of our early vision, soft modern lettering in a bright coral tone. My goal was then to make it feel handmade, youthful, and inviting.

2025: Refined Identity 
As we work on growing our brand, I took the time to refine the logo for clarity, consistency and strength across applications. This update included a new typeface, a deeper and richer colour palette, and the introduction of a hummingbird as the brand mark. I kept the original wordmark as the foundation, obsessing over spacing and kerning to honour its roots while shaping it for the future.
Bringing the colour palette to life was just an absolute joy. The original colours drew from the softer side of island life, coral pinks and the pale blue of the Caribbean Sea. 
In refining the colours, I wanted more energy and vibrancy that reflects island life. This new set introduces deeper contrasts and bolder hues, featuring deep blue like the depth of the ocean, and red, like spotting a Scarlet Ibis at sunset or admiring our hibiscus-lined yards. 
It's still the island, just way more alive! 

A friend once described me as the sun, and it was then that I realised I carry the warmth of the islands everywhere I go. From there, our tagline became more than words; it became a motto. It perfectly captures my vision for modern aromatic design: rooted in place, centred on shared stories, and made for collective experiences. 
It's an honour to share that warmth through scent, through story, through the rituals that make any space feel like home.
